(2 Day Program - 4 hr. each day) This class equips outside sales professionals with the expertise to effectively market fire door inspection services. Covering key selling points, the importance of code compliance, and customer benefits, it empowers them to articulate the value and requirements of these inspections confidently, fostering safer environments while boosting sales success in a vital niche market.

After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:

  1. Identify the codes affecting fire rated door opening assemblies.
  2. Recognize the top 10 non-compliance issues related to fire door assemblies.
  3. Effectively demonstrate the NFPA 80's 13 points of inspection to facility personnel.
  4. Explain the facility owners responsibility to comply with inspection requirements.

Hal's dedication to ensuring compliance and safety standards doesn't end with inspections. He consults with inspection companies and industry manufacturers, offering insights into annual inspection requirements and best practices. His expertise is sought after by legal teams seeking expert witnesses in the opening industry, where his thorough knowledge and experience provide invaluable support.

In 2008, Hal founded DOORDATA Solutions, Inc., pioneering the development of the first dedicated fire door inspection application. This innovation has revolutionized fire door inspections, streamlining processes and enhancing accuracy.

Recognized for his exceptional skills, Hal has been contracted with QAI Labs for the past decade, serving as both a Field Inspector and Field Inspector Trainer. His commitment to education and knowledge sharing spans three decades, during which he has authored articles, delivered lectures, and conducted teaching sessions, imparting his passion for the industry to countless individuals.

In 2022, Hal's expertise was further acknowledged when he was appointed as a Principal Technical Committee Member for NFPA 80 and NFPA 105, serving as a Special Expert. This prestigious appointment underscores his standing as a leader and innovator in the door and hardware industry.
