Key Conference and System Design

(1-day program) A thorough understanding of mechanical keying is an important skill for the distributor, manufacturer and end user so that the required information can be communicated between all parties. This class on the Key Conference and System Design equips students with the skills and confidence to conduct a successful key meeting.

After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:

  1. Explain the four most common levels of keying.
  2. Implement the requirements of ANSI/BHMA A156.28 – Recommended Practice for Mechanical Keying Systems.
  3. Prepare and prioritize materials in order to conduct a successful keying meeting.
  4. Develop a key system layout to meet owner’s needs.

Automated end of class exams are delivered via DOITs Learning Management System at the end of the course, students must achieve a minimum 80% on the exam to pass the course.

7.3 Contact Hours - Eligible for .7 IACET CEUs

Course cost includes breakfast (for hotel guests only), lunch and morning/afternoon snack each day of class.
